Having formed Roots Research in 2008 I have watched the business grow into the success it is today. This wouldn't have been possible without the fantastically dedicated and hardworking team of unique individuals we have at Roots, who all bring something different to the table.

All of this, coupled with my business partner and good friend Andy’s enthusiasm and extensive business knowledge, make coming to work everyday a real pleasure.

When I’m not at work I love spending time with my family, eating out, and going for drinks with my friends. I also have a passion for live music and relish getting out in the sea on my paddle board or kayak whenever I can.

My passion has always been to make a success of whatever I can get my teeth stuck into. When I started with Roots in 2010 this became my main passion in life, and still is.

The team we have here at Roots are one of the keys to our success; everyone here is a joy to work with, which makes coming into work an absolute pleasure. Chris and I have been good friends for many years now, and this I think is another reason for our success; we share a passion for life, both in and outside of work.

In my spare time I love to travel, both abroad and across the UK (in my campervan!). My dog Charlie makes every day a total joy, we both love walking and cycling (well, I cycle!) across the South Downs as much as we can.

What do you love most about your job/working at Roots?

The Roots office is a positive environment with a focus on happiness and transparency. Everybody at Roots has the same aim: to work together to do the best job we can, and get the best results for our clients. Achievements are always celebrated - we’re professional but personable too, and I think that balance is key to the service we provide.

What do you love most about life?

Food, flowers, and fitness. Also laughing (/cackling), singing, and wine, but they don’t really fit the Fs!

What do you love most about your job/working at Roots?

The team are what makes Roots a great place to work. The culture is fantastic and there is a growth mindset that runs throughout, a willingness to adapt, make changes and try new things… not a place where you’d hear “we’ve always done it that way”. This foundation is what helps them to excel and makes my job easier too.

What do you love most about life?

I love the outdoors, simply walking my dog Albie, being on my sup or on my bike, if I’m outdoors, I’m happy.

What do you love most about your job/working at Roots?

I’ve worked in research and fieldwork agencies for many years, my passion being finding the best methods for the huge variety of challenges our clients face and using them to deliver the best possible solutions. I’ve found the team here at Roots to be committed, fun and determined to support the clients and make every project a success.

What do you love most about life?

My two kids with their various sports and activities keep me pretty busy outside of work, when I can, walking and stopping for a pub lunch are my favourite escapes. I also have two cats at home, but probably won’t bring them to the office, given the high number of dogs in attendance.

I love working as part of such a close knit team. If you ever need any help someone is always there for you. We all get on and have a laugh which you don’t find in many offices!

I am also a trained hairdresser so enjoy doing that in my spare time.

I love going out with friends and socialising. I like going to restaurants, the cinema and watching live music.

I love the fast-paced energy and working with such a lovely and supportive team, I also never feeling like I'm clockwatching which is a bonus!

I love living in such a vibrant and fun city where everyone is accepting of each other.

The variety of work we do means that no two days are ever the same, though often challenging, we have such a great team in the office that I’ve yet to see a problem not overcome. Oh, and the dogs.

I love to read, go climbing, build robots, drink beer and spend as much time with as many dogs as I can.

For me, the best thing about Roots are the people that make up the company. Being part of a sociable, hard-working, and fun-loving team really helps you get the best out of each day.

It's hard to avoid making this sound like a dating profile...

I'd say I'm a sucker for the little things; time with your loved ones, tasty food, playing sports, and any time you get to spend with a dog.

Everyone who works here is so friendly and supportive, it's such a positive office and everyone is always up for a laugh!

What do you love most about life?

Traveling is a big passion of mine, one day I hope to drive around Canada and New Zealand in a campervan. I love cooking and going out for dinner! One of my favorite things to do on the weekend is go on a long country walk followed by a nice pint and some pub grub.

The variety and the people. We are always working on different projects and helping each other out with different tasks. Communication is key and it is made easy with a friendly and approachable team.

I Love Baking, Country Walks, Playing Piano, Food and not to mention spending time with my lovely cat!

Getting to work with such a lovely team of people, who are so supportive and always happy to help if you need it. We also get to work on such a range of projects, Each day is different.

I love spending time with my family and friends; trying out new restaurants and cafes together, going on walks on the downs or along the coast and Going To Gigs.

I love getting to spend my day with lovely people in a buzzing and vibrant office environment, whilst getting to work on varied and interesting research projects that directly influence the world around me. There's lots to love!

My big passions are music, arguing about politics and Manchester United. I love being a dad too and am a big family man!

I Love To Cook And Going Out For Dinner, Anything Food Related Is A Winner. I Love Music, You Can Always Find Me At A Festival Or A House Event. However, Nothing Will Beat A Long Country Walk For Me!

Roots is a fantastic environment to work in, full of lovely people who can always lend a hand and give their opinion on any issues. One of the things I love the most about my job is the fact that each day is always different and exciting. The offices puppies are a plus too!

What do you love most about life?

Outside the office I spend my time playing basketball, cooking or hanging out with my friends and family. I also enjoy going for long hikes where my end destination is the pub!

Besides the dogs, it definitely has to be the people! I am fortunate enough to work alongside a number of like-minded, energetic and enthusiastic individuals that makes the atmosphere in the office very inclusive, and one that I look forward coming into everyday. The office has a great blend of professionalism and camaraderie.

What do you love most about life?

Having been fortunate to grow up in nearly every corner of the world, as a result I love all things new. I love being active, meeting new people, trying new food, new music, new countries! Life is definitely about experiencing as much as you can, when you can! I am also very much a beach-head, so sand, sea and sunshine are definitely high up on the list!

Roots has the most supportive and positive people always striving for success, never shying away from obstacles. We better each other in new ways every single day!

Most of all my family, especially taking my son to new places and giving him new experiences. Watching him grow is what I love most.

My role is super flexible around my kids which is ideal for me. It is lovely to be rewarded for working hard, it works for me!

I love being able to work in the City in all the vibrant life and to be able to go home to my village to play with my kids who are great fun.

I go to the Gym, Yoga, Running in the woods. I love dancing which I do often. As a scout leader with all the climbing, swimming, camping I am outdoors often. Song writing is another passion! I sing, play Banjo, Ukulele and Guitar and play at open mics.

I love the environment of the office, everyone's so helpful and friendly makes it fun but also feel motivated.

I love travelling and the freedom it gives me, I hope that one day I can travel all around the world.

Getting to speak to such a wide range of people from different backgrounds and learning new things about industries I wouldn’t usually be involved in. The variety of projects also keeps it interesting.

I'm a homebody at heart so theres nothing I love more than cooking a meal from scratch and blasting some tunes before binging a series on the sofa whilst I tuck in!

From an early age I loved market research and I was obsessed with filling in surveys that came through the door and investigating the tv ratings figures from BARB. I have known the Roots’ Directors, Andy and Chris, for many years which gives us a really easy working relationship I am an equal Qual/Quant researcher who has conducted research across a wide range of sectors, specialising in Consumer, Automotive, B2B and Healthcare. Whether it be writing a questionnaire or discussion guide, moderating your groups or writing up the findings in a comprehensive and engaging fashion, I will walk you through the process in a way that makes it as easy as possible for you. Outside of work, I have quite a few animals to look after – a Boxer, 2 chickens and an aviary that contains a varying number of budgies! I also like to cook, eat out and go on as many holidays as possible!

What do you love most about your job/working at Roots?

After an enjoyable 30 year corporate career, I wanted to do something different so I set myself up as a consultant, not just in HR but in areas such as risk management. Roots Research started as a client in 2012, but have come to mean much more than that. Working with the Roots team embodies all that I enjoy about work - professionalism, client-focus, enthusiasm, fun, learning, growth.

What do you love most about life?

Family, music, cars, and my dog. I am rebuilding a Series 2 Jaguar XJ6 (I love Jags). And work is hugely important to me- doing interesting work with people whose company I enjoy, is fundamental to my life.
