Our Ecologi site in the Democratic Republic of Congo, is designed to help to reduce carbon emissions, but also the local communities and biodiversity. It is certified to Verra’s Climate, Community and Biodiversity Standard (CCBS), showing the project’s intentions to bring significant co-benefits to the local people and nature. Some of the revenue from the carbon credits this project is issued with will be going directly to local communities, and they will decide what they want to spend it on to improve the lives of local people.
There is approximately 4,004 miles between Brighton and The Democratic Republic of Congo which roughly equates to 8,008,000 steps we will need to walk in 23 days to make it to The Republic of Congo!
Between us we will need to walk 9410 steps each day for 23 days to hit our target.
